Alexander Brown is the co-founder and CEO of Alga Biosciences, an agricultural technology company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 2021, the biotechnology startup develops modified algae-based feed additives designed to reduce enteric methane emissions from cattle. Under his leadership, the company participated in the Y Combinator Winter 2022 batch and subsequently secured a $4 million seed funding round led by Collaborative Fund in March 2023. Prior to entering the climate technology sector, Brown worked in software operations, serving as a chief of staff at an enterprise software firm.
