Alex Pinel Neparidze is the Co-CEO and co-founder of Instinct, a Y Combinator-backed space technology startup developing affordable small lunar landers. Previously, he worked as a project management intern at Open Cosmos, contributing to the PHISAT-2 and HAMMER Earth observation satellites that launched into orbit in 2024. During his undergraduate studies, he founded a university rocketry society that grew to over 100 members, raised more than £10,000 in funding, and won a design award at the Mach23 competition. He holds a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from Queen Mary University of London and a master's degree in space science from University College London, where he published research on machine learning applications for detecting coronal mass ejections. His current focus centers on leveraging his aerospace engineering background to increase lunar mission cadence through low-cost orbital rideshares.
