Alex Pareto

Alex Pareto is the Lead of the Spending engineering group at Brex, a financial technology company based in San Francisco, California. Prior to his current position, he served as a Software Engineer at the wealth management platform Compound and contributed to video platform infrastructure at Meta's Instagram and Facebook. In 2018, Pareto founded demeanor.co, a consumer software startup that participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2018 batch before being acquired by the livestream shopping platform NTWRK. Following this acquisition, he transitioned to lead engineering teams at NTWRK, drawing upon a technical foundation developed during his studies at the University of Southern California and Phillips Academy Andover. Alongside his corporate roles, he actively publishes technical writing detailing software development methodologies and startup operations.
