Alex Hilleary

Alex Hilleary currently serves as the Community Lead at ChartHop and resides in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to assuming this position, he co-founded Gather, an employee experience and internal communications platform, launching the enterprise software company in 2019. He scaled the human resources technology startup through the Y Combinator accelerator program before negotiating its official acquisition by ChartHop in March 2022. Following the integration of his startup, he transitioned into his current community management role to launch and scale The People Ops Community, while also authoring the People Ops Weekly newsletter. An alumnus of both the Venture for America fellowship program and Georgetown University, his background combines early-stage venture development with specialized domain expertise. His ongoing professional focus remains centered on advancing human resources technology, B2B software solutions, and building dedicated professional networks for people operations leaders.
