Alex Dixon

Alex Dixon is the Co-Founder of Bluelight, a B2B SaaS analytics platform for home service contractors, based in San Francisco, California. Backed by Y Combinator as part of the Winter 2021 batch, he established the company in 2020 to provide real-time data optimization for trades businesses, scaling the startup to three employees and $180,000 in reported revenue. Before launching Bluelight, Dixon spent eleven years building scalable analytics platforms, including tenures as a Senior Data Engineer at Tempus and Software Engineer at Evolent Health. At Tempus, he developed cloud-native solutions for terabyte-scale machine learning and co-authored a healthcare data publication in Nature Medicine. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Loyola University Chicago and studied Analytical Chemistry at the Illinois Institute of Technology. His current focus is delivering actionable business intelligence for the skilled trades sector.
