Alex Confer

Alex Confer is the Co-founder of Risotto, an artificial intelligence and automation startup, and is currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. Established in 2023, Risotto develops automated IT and human resources helpdesk platforms that integrate directly into Slack to streamline internal business workflows. Prior to launching his current venture, Confer held senior engineering and product leadership positions at HelloSign. In this capacity, he was a key operational contributor leading up to the software company's $230 million acquisition by Dropbox in late 2019. Following the transaction's completion in early 2020, he transitioned to Dropbox and subsequently gained further enterprise software and internal operations experience at Gusto. His professional background centers on building and scaling business-to-business software-as-a-service products, with a specific ongoing focus on workplace automation, document management, and modern employee experience technology.
