Aleksander Mekhanik

Aleksander Mekhanik is currently a team member at Vulcan, where he focuses on machine learning and artificial intelligence applications. He previously earned a degree in electrical computer engineering with a concentration in machine learning from Dartmouth College, where he received the Jack Byrne grant awarded to top mathematics students. Prior to his current position, Mekhanik worked as a machine learning engineer across multiple early-stage technology startups. Outside of his professional engineering work, he is a former nationally competitive chess player and a competitive powerlifter who set records in 2 regions, including Arizona and the Ivy League. His athletic background also includes qualifying for the USA Powerlifting (USAPL) collegiate national championships. Mekhanik's current focus remains on leveraging his academic and mathematical background to develop machine learning infrastructure for emerging technology companies.
