Alejandro Pozo

Alejandro Pozo is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Valari, an embedded finance platform, and is based in Mexico City, Mexico. Prior to establishing his own venture, he accumulated over eight years of institutional investment and finance experience covering Latin American markets through roles at Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. His transition into the financial technology sector was prompted by his firsthand experience operating a small business in the region, where he identified significant gaps in available corporate financial services. To address these market inefficiencies, Pozo launched Valari to serve small and medium-sized businesses, subsequently securing a position in Y Combinator's Winter 2022 batch with a three-person team. Although Valari is currently listed as inactive, Pozo's professional trajectory centers on leveraging his tier-one institutional finance background to develop specialized financial technology solutions for the Latin American enterprise market.
