Alberto Gimeno

Alberto Gimeno is currently an Investment Associate at bd-capital, an operator-led private equity firm. Initially trained as a computer scientist and mathematician, he spent his early career working as a software developer before transitioning into technology sales. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from the University of Valladolid, a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from London Business School, which he attended on a full scholarship. Prior to his current role in private equity, Gimeno gained corporate and consulting experience through positions at McKinsey & Company, Repsol’s electricity division in Madrid, and Triton Partners in Frankfurt. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer for Project Maji, a startup featured in a Harvard case study. Gimeno's current focus centers on private equity investments, leveraging his diverse background across software development, technical sales, and strategic management.
