Albert Nazander is the Helsinki, Finland-based Technical Co-founder and CTO of Meru Health. He established the venture-backed digital mental healthcare startup in 2016 alongside co-founder Kristian Ranta, subsequently guiding the company through the Y Combinator Summer 2018 batch. Prior to his current venture, Nazander served as a Technical Co-founder and New Business Development Manager at the telecommunications firm Elisa. His earlier software engineering experience includes contributing to web development as an early employee at the interactive media platform ThingLink. At Meru Health, he managed product and engineering operations for seven years, scaling the technical infrastructure to support a 55-person team while publishing peer-reviewed clinical research on smartphone-based interventions. Nazander currently focuses on overseeing product management, marketing initiatives, and healthcare privacy compliance for digital therapeutics targeting depression and burnout.
