Akshay Subramaniam

Akshay Subramaniam is the Co-founder of Haystack Software, an early-stage developer tools startup based in New York, New York. Founded in 2024 alongside co-founder Jake Yatvitskiy, the two-employee company is backed by Y Combinator and focuses on building software designed to help software engineers process and understand pull requests more efficiently. Prior to launching his current entrepreneurial venture, Subramaniam worked as a Software Engineer at Figma, where he drove major product updates for its global user base. During his tenure at the design platform, he led the engineering and launch of the multi-edit feature and contributed to the release of the Find and Replace tool. Additionally, he engineered core accessibility improvements for the collaborative whiteboard product FigJam. Subramaniam's current professional focus centers on creating productivity software and developer tools, drawing on his broader technical background in building custom emulators and video games.
