Akhil Gupta is the founder of Fresco, a technology startup developing an artificial intelligence-powered scribe tool specifically designed for construction superintendents. He began his career as an artificial intelligence researcher, gaining early technical expertise by working directly with large language models starting in 2018. Before establishing his own venture, Gupta advanced various machine learning and artificial intelligence initiatives through research and engineering roles at Johns Hopkins University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and TikTok. Seeking practical industry experience, he transitioned his professional focus into the renewable energy construction sector in 2022 to understand the operational bottlenecks faced by field workers. This hands-on experience in renewables directly informed the product development strategy for his current enterprise. Gupta's current focus centers on leveraging his dual expertise in advanced language models and construction management to automate administrative workflows across the building industry.
