Ain McKendrick

Ain McKendrick is the Founder and CEO of Faction Technology, an autonomous vehicle startup based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Since establishing the company in 2020, he has directed the development of driverless fleets and light electric vehicles, securing a 2022 strategic partnership to engineer next-generation commercial delivery platforms. Prior to his current executive role, McKendrick contributed to the engineering and deployment of the first successful driverless semi-trucks operating on public highways. His earlier career spans hardware and consumer electronics, featuring technical and leadership roles at Netflix, Dell, and TiVo. He also served as a founding team member at Palm Computing, where he helped develop the original PalmPilot handheld device. McKendrick's professional background centers on advancing hardware innovation, transitioning from foundational mobile computing devices to modern autonomous robotics and micro-mobility systems.
