Aditya Sood

Aditya Sood is the Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Contrario, an early-stage artificial intelligence recruiting platform based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2025 and backed by the Y Combinator Winter 2025 batch, the two-person startup develops AI software and matchmaking algorithms to accelerate hiring for engineering, product, and operations roles. Sood earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University before dropping out of his master's program to pursue entrepreneurship. Prior to launching Contrario, he led natural language processing initiatives at NASA and conducted artificial intelligence research at the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in collaboration with Anthropic. He has also published academic research focusing on the application of artificial intelligence within the defense technology sector. His current focus centers on leveraging his background in natural language processing to build automated matchmaking systems that resolve inefficiencies in technical recruitment.
