Adela Chang

Adela Chang is a Co-founder at KiraKira Media, the developer of the digital manga platform Azuki, based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2020 and backed by the Y Combinator Winter 2022 batch, her five-person startup operates a Japanese comic subscription service. Prior to launching her own company, Chang built consumer technology as a senior mobile developer for prominent tech firms including Facebook, Medium, and Yelp. She previously worked as a software engineer and senior mobile developer at Crunchyroll, where she utilized her native-level Japanese translation skills. Chang graduated from UC Berkeley in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and a minor in East Asian Languages and Cultures. Her current focus centers on bridging mobile application development with the manga publishing industry through localization, creative writing, and digital distribution.
