Adam Winnifrith

Adam Winnifrith is the CEO and Co-Founder of Evolvere, a biotechnology startup operating between Oxford, United Kingdom, and San Francisco, California. He recently led the enterprise through the Y Combinator accelerator program as a participant in the Summer 2024 cohort to scale their operations. Prior to establishing his current venture, Winnifrith completed his academic training at the University of Oxford, where he earned a Master of Biochemistry degree with a focus on bioengineering. His technical background encompasses deep domain expertise in protein artificial intelligence, synthetic biology, and the implementation of advanced laboratory automation systems. At Evolvere, he directs the strategic development of computational tools that integrate machine learning models with automated biological engineering processes. Winnifrith's current focus centers on scaling these automated protein design platforms to streamline commercial biotechnology research and accelerate the discovery of novel therapeutics.
