Adam Brown

Adam Brown is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Mux, an API-first video infrastructure platform based in San Francisco, California. Before establishing Mux in 2015 alongside co-founder Jon Dahl, Brown served as a key software engineer at Zencoder, a cloud video encoding startup. Following Zencoder's successful $30 million acquisition, he transitioned to Brightcove, where he continued to engineer large-scale video streaming, transcoding, and 3D rendering cloud systems. At Mux, he currently leads the technical strategy and engineering teams responsible for processing live and on-demand video experiences. Under his technical leadership, the company secured $105 million in Series D funding in April 2021, elevating its total valuation to $1.09 billion. Brown's professional background centers entirely on advancing cloud computing architecture and developing scalable B2B software tools for modern video infrastructure.
