Abhi Aiyer

Abhi Aiyer is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Mastra, an open-source TypeScript framework developer for artificial intelligence agents. Founded in 2024 alongside Sam Bhagwat, the Y Combinator-backed startup recently raised $13 million to support its team of approximately 20 employees. Prior to launching Mastra, Aiyer served as a Principal Engineer at Netlify following its 2023 acquisition of Gatsby. During his tenure at Netlify, he led an engineering organization of more than 100 people and managed high-scale systems. His previous work on Gatsby Cloud infrastructure involved operating tens of thousands of build nodes that processed billions of files and handled hundreds of terabytes of monthly bandwidth. Aiyer's technical background centers on designing massive-scale cloud infrastructure and building specialized developer tooling for the modern web and AI applications.
