Abel Mengistu

Abel Mengistu is the co-founder and CEO of FlutterFlow, a visual application development platform based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to launching his current venture, he worked as a software engineer at Google and founded Vendr, a software startup that was acquired by Klaviyo for over $300 million in June 2022. Mengistu established FlutterFlow alongside co-founder Alex Greaves during Y Combinator's Winter 2021 batch to provide developers with low-code infrastructure for native mobile and web applications. Under his leadership, the platform has scaled to support more than one million users globally and secured a $25.5 million Series A funding round led by GV in early 2024. The company recently integrated AI-powered generation features into its core product suite. Mengistu's current focus centers on expanding accessible low-code developer tools and scaling enterprise software-as-a-service solutions.
