Abdelrahman Hosny

Abdelrahman Hosny is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at ShipBlu, and is currently based in San Jose, California. He previously held a technical role at Apple and has accumulated over eight years of professional experience building cloud-native applications. At ShipBlu, a logistics technology startup backed by Y Combinator, he led the development of core operational technology and helped secure a multimillion-dollar pre-seed funding round in August 2021. Hosny earned a doctorate in Computer Science from Brown University in October 2023, following a Master's degree from the University of Connecticut in 2016. His doctoral dissertation focused on applying machine learning methods to combinatorial optimization problems, specifically targeting chip design and operations research. Hosny's background combines rigorous academic research with a current focus on integrating advanced algorithmic approaches into commercial supply chain and logistics operations.
