Aaron Yu

Aaron Yu is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of QualGent, an early-stage technology startup participating in the Y Combinator Summer 2025 cohort. Prior to founding QualGent, he spent over five and a half years as a Tech Lead at Google, where he engineered and scaled zero-to-one products including Android XR, Stadia, and Quick Share. During his tenure at Google, his technical work spanned mobile systems, connectivity, and operating system-level infrastructure. Earlier in his career, Yu held specialized research positions at Nvidia and the Berkeley Lab, focusing on deep systems engineering and machine learning applications. He earned a computer science degree from the University of California, Berkeley in just three years, and is a former ASEAN scholar and robotics olympiad medalist. Yu's current professional focus centers on leveraging artificial intelligence to redefine software quality assurance and build advanced developer tools.
