Aaron Barbieri-Aghib

Aaron Barbieri-Aghib is the Co-founder of Dime, an early-stage technology startup based in Chicago, Illinois. Originally from San Francisco, California, he relocated to the Midwest to attend the University of Chicago, where he completed his academic studies in mathematics and biology. Prior to launching his current venture alongside his co-founder Ben, Barbieri-Aghib spent one and a half years working as a software engineer in the quantitative finance sector. During his tenure at an undisclosed high-frequency trading firm, he focused on developing specialized software systems before ultimately leaving the proprietary trading industry to pursue entrepreneurship. Outside of his primary professional endeavors, he remains active in the local Chicago community, frequently visiting Lake Michigan and participating in competitive matches on Chess.com. Barbieri-Aghib's current focus centers on scaling Dime's operations while leveraging his dual background in complex mathematics and high-frequency trading software engineering.
