Wyoming Energy Authority

The Wyoming Energy Authority is a consolidated state entity advancing Wyoming’s strategic energy interests. It supports the state’s energy portfolio by integrating functions from the former Wyoming Infrastructure Authority, Wyoming Pipeline Authority, and State Energy Office. The Authority promotes commercial energy projects, develops new markets, and provides critical data and resources.

Established July 1, 2020, through legislation, the Authority formed from the insight a unified body could effectively manage Wyoming’s energy agenda. This consolidation streamlined disparate agencies, fostering a cohesive approach to statewide energy development and policy.
