Southern Angels

Southern Angels operates as an angel investment group, strategically connecting high-net-worth individuals with early-stage companies requiring both capital and expert guidance. Its diverse membership, exceeding 50 individuals, provides significant financial backing and intellectual contributions to startups across varied sectors, including biotech, fintech, advanced manufacturing, software, and IT. Members bring extensive experience in company building and have often achieved successful exits from their own ventures, offering invaluable strategic support to the portfolio.

Co-founded by Josh Garratt, who holds the Executive Officer position, Southern Angels was established in Adelaide, Australia, in 2018. The entity operates as a not-for-profit, incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Act 1985 of South Australia, with Ryan Williams chairing its board. The group emerged from a recognized need to create a structured network where experienced investors could collectively channel resources and knowledge into the burgeoning local innovation ecosystem.
