Utilizing convertible financing, it typically invests in about ten enterprises annually, fostering scalable solutions that generate both financial and measurable social returns.

The overarching SocialFare ecosystem, including SocialFare Seed, originated in Torino in 2013, founded by the Congregation of Saint Joseph with Laura Orestano as its president. This initiative stemmed from the insight into Italy’s need for a dedicated center for social innovation. SocialFare Seed emerged as a direct financial mechanism to nurture promising social enterprises within this framework.
