RGIP

The Roland George Investments Program (RGIP) provides a unique platform where Stetson University students actively manage a significant portfolio of real stocks and bonds. This experiential learning model simulates a professional investment management firm, with students developing comprehensive investment policies, executing research using industry-standard tools, and defending their investment recommendations to an internal committee. RGIP was established in 1980 through a foundational gift from Sarah George, honoring her husband, Roland George. The program emerged from Roland George's conviction that students gain the most profound understanding of investment principles by making and managing real-world financial decisions. This insight led to the creation of a pioneering curriculum that merges academic theory with practical application.
