PhotonDelta operates as a European integrated photonics ecosystem, dedicated to fostering the design, development, and manufacture of innovative solutions leveraging integrated photonic chips. This non-profit organization provides comprehensive support across the entire value chain for photonic chip technology, aiming to create a robust and interconnected industry. Its core offering is the infrastructure and collaborative environment that enables the creation of advanced photonic applications.

The organization was established by mandate of the Dutch government in December 2018. The foundational insight was the strategic imperative to accelerate the nascent integrated photonics industry within the Netherlands and across Europe. This public initiative aimed to aggregate expertise and resources, thereby transforming fragmented efforts into a cohesive and globally competitive ecosystem for this critical emerging technology.

PhotonDelta serves a diverse network of stakeholders, including investors, technology companies, and end-users who are actively engaged in or seeking to utilize integrated photonics.
