Established in 2007, the Collaborative was conceived by Sky Lance, Tom Balderston, and Suzanne Biegel. Lance, an experienced investor, sought a higher purpose, noticing a shift in impact investing. Collaborating with Balderston, a seasoned venture advisor, and Biegel, who helped shape its framework, Lance formed SustainVC to manage its investment partnerships.
