# NOAH'S Event Venue: High-Level Overview
NOAH'S Event Venue was an American event venue operator that provided customizable spaces for corporate functions, weddings, and other occasions. At its peak, the company operated over 39 locations across the United States and hosted more than 4,000 events annually.[1][3] Headquartered in Lehi, Utah (later South Jordan), NOAH'S positioned itself as the largest event venue corporation in the country, offering flexible, modern facilities with comprehensive amenities and an open-vendor policy.[1][3]
The company served corporations, entrepreneurs, and individuals seeking professional offsite meeting spaces and event venues. NOAH'S differentiated itself through customizable room configurations, state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, and transparent pricing structures—contrasting with competitors that employed hidden fees.[3] However, the company's operational history ended abruptly when it ceased operations in 2020 following bankruptcy proceedings and fraud allegations.
NOAH'S Event Venue was founded in 2003 by William "Bil" Bowser in Utah.[2] The first location opened in January 2007 in Lindon, Utah, marking the beginning of what would become rapid national expansion.[2] By the end of 2011, the company had grown to six sites, and by late 2018, it had expanded to over 30 locations nationwide.[2] The company's growth trajectory positioned it as a household name, particularly in the event venue industry, with its largest flagship location—a 32,000-square-foot facility in South Jordan—featuring 11 rentable event spaces including an ice skating rink and theater room.[3]
Despite its market position, NOAH'S faced severe operational and legal challenges. In June 2019, a judge ordered a writ of attachment for over $800,000 against a property Bowser had sold in Park City, Utah.[2] The company declared bankruptcy in 2019, and on February 7, 2020, NOAH'S abruptly closed all remaining venues without notice, leaving wedding couples and corporate clients scrambling for alternatives.[2] Federal Judge Joel Marker converted the case from Chapter 11 to Chapter 7 bankruptcy, stating the company was "hurting people" and unable to restructure effectively.[2] In December 2020, the Securities and Exchange Commission charged Bowser and associates with fraud for alleged misappropriation of funds between 2017 and 2019.[2]
