LCIF

Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) serves as the charitable arm of Lions Clubs International, providing critical grant funding to empower Lions and Leos clubs worldwide in their humanitarian service efforts. The foundation enables a broad spectrum of projects, ranging from disaster relief and health initiatives to youth development programs, directly supporting local communities in addressing their most pressing needs and fostering positive global change.

LCIF was established in 1968, growing out of the existing Lions Clubs International organization. The foundation was created with the specific insight that a dedicated charitable arm could significantly amplify the impact of individual Lions clubs, centralizing resources and strategically deploying funds to assist them with larger-scale humanitarian projects across the globe, thereby extending their reach and effectiveness.

LCIF primarily serves Lions and Leos club members and their partners, equipping them with the financial resources necessary to implement their service initiatives. The foundation’s overarching vision is to empower these volunteers to improve health and well-being, strengthen communities, and provide support to those in need through sustained humanitarian service, working towards a future where all communities can thrive.
