Kharafi Group

Kharafi Group, also known as MA Al-Kharafi & Sons (MAK Group), is a diversified Kuwaiti conglomerate based in Kuwait City, specializing in construction, engineering, food processing, tourism, real estate, and consumer goods across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia. Its subsidiary, Kharafi National, provides mechanical, electrical, and engineering works, contributing approximately $1 billion to the group's historical turnover of over $5 billion. The broader group historically employed 120,000 individuals, with its business value estimated at $4.3 billion. Key operations include the Americana Group, which manages food franchises like KFC, Pizza Hut, and Hardee's across the region, alongside significant infrastructure projects such as Marsa Alam International Airport. Prominent family members involved in leadership include Nasser Al-Kharafi, Fawzi Mohammed Al-Kharafi, and Bader Nasser Al-Kharafi. The organization was founded in 1956 by Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al-Kharafi.
