Katjesgreenfood, the investment arm of the Katjes Group, invests in innovative food startups focused on sustainable and plant-based nutrition from its base in Düsseldorf, Germany. The firm operates a venture capital and private equity model, identifying and scaling "love brands" by providing capital, expertise, and access to the Katjes Group network. Katjesgreenfood has made at least nine investments and sought to raise €25 million through a corporate bond on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, with an approximate employee count of 1-10 people. Notable portfolio companies include Genius Foods, Mymuesli, The Rainforest Company, and Vegdog, with Dr. Manon Sarah Littek serving as CEO. In 2024, the firm exited its investment in Haferkater, while holding 10% of The Rainforest Company, 27% of SD Sugar Daddies, and having acquired 100% of Genius Foods. Katjesgreenfood was founded in 2016 as the in-house venture capital arm of Katjes Group.
