ISM Angels

ISM Angels is an angel investment group formed by IIT Dhanbad alumni, providing early-stage seed and pre-Series A funding along with strategic investments and expert guidance to startups. The group primarily targets ventures with at least one IIT Dhanbad student or alumnus founder, evaluating scalable products and services across diverse sectors. Comprising 108 active accredited investor members, ISM Angels collectively commits over $3 million annually to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem, with individual member contributions ranging from $10,000 to $25,000. Their focus extends to helping portfolio companies scale through dedicated mentorship and strategic insights. Notable associations include Ashu Dubey, CEO and Founder of AlhenaAI. ISM Angels was founded by Rakesh Soni and Krishna Anisetty, becoming active in 2020. Its business model centers on funded through member commitments of $10,000 to $25,000 minimum annual investments from IIT Dhanbad alumni accredited investors.
