INPEX Corporation is Japan's largest exploration and production company specializing in oil and natural gas development, based in Akasaka, Tokyo, Japan. The company operates a comprehensive energy business across 70 projects in 27 countries, with approximately 90% of its operations located overseas, accounting for roughly 10% of Japan's domestic energy consumption. Beyond traditional oil and gas, INPEX is expanding into low-carbon solutions, including hydrogen development and carbon capture and storage (CCS). As of December 2025, the company held a market capitalization of approximately 3.6 trillion yen, reporting a net profit of 393.8 billion yen and cash flow from operations before exploration investment of 862.6 billion yen in fiscal year 2025.
