InfraCo Africa

InfraCo Africa provides catalytic equity and expertise to originate, develop, and structure early-stage infrastructure projects across sub-Saharan Africa. As part of the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), the organization has invested over $300 million into 39 projects, mobilizing more than $1.5 billion in private capital, and brought 11 projects to financial close. It focuses on renewable power, transport, logistics, and social infrastructure, collaborating with partners such as Helios Investment Partners, Cardano Development, and FSD Africa. Recent activities include anchoring a US$43 million commitment to the CLEAR fund, which achieved a US$200 million first close, and a US$15 million investment into a new Kenya guarantee company. InfraCo Africa was established in 2004; founder names are not publicly known.
