HYCAP Group

HYCAP Group is a London-based hydrogen investment firm that identifies and develops opportunities in the hydrogen sector to support the UK's decarbonization efforts. The firm launched with £1 billion in capital to invest in various hydrogen sector opportunities, combining expertise across hydrogen, energy, manufacturing, financing, and fund management. HYCAP has expanded into hydrogen refuelling infrastructure, acquiring full ownership of a refuelling business from ITM Power. One operational entity, Hycap Hydrogen Production Company 4 UK Limited, reported turnover under £632,000 and fewer than 10 employees as of its July 2023 incorporation. Key figures involved include Founding Partner Jo Bamford, also founder of Wrightbus, and Chief Technology Officer Ben Madden. HYCAP Group was founded in 2021 by Jo Bamford in partnership with Vedra Partners.
