Holonym

Holonym develops privacy and security tools for the decentralized web, focusing on digital identity, personhood proofs, and cryptography to enable secure access to finance and data ownership without biometrics. Its key products include Silk, a wallet interface designed with advanced security against hackers and scams, and Human Keys, which facilitates proving humanity via zero-knowledge proofs. The organization has secured $5.5 million in seed funding, with lead investments from Finality Capital and Paper Ventures, and further participation from Draper Dragon and Arrington Capital. Holonym has reached 1 million users and achieved profitability, further expanding its capabilities through the acquisition of Passport on December 16, 2024. Spun out from the nonprofit Opscientia, Holonym was co-founded by Shady El Damaty, who serves as CEO, and Nanak Nihal Khalsa.
