Hollywood Studios is a theme park located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, United States, that celebrates Hollywood, movies, and show business through attractions and entertainment. Originally designed as a working film studio with backlots, it has evolved into a fully themed park focused on cinematic experiences like Star Wars and Pixar lands. Operating as part of The Walt Disney Company's theme park division, it generates revenue from ticket sales, merchandise, and in-park experiences. Key figures in its development and rebranding include former Disney CEOs Michael Eisner and Bob Iger, alongside Imagineers Marty Sklar and Randy Bright, who conceived the initial attraction idea. The park was renamed Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2008 and again to Hollywood Studios in 2019. It opened on May 1, 1989, under the direction of Michael Eisner.
