Hanwha Life Insurance is a life insurance company based in Seoul, South Korea, providing individual and group insurance products, including life, retirement pensions, and education insurance to customers domestically and internationally. As Korea's first life insurance company, it operates as part of the larger Hanwha Group conglomerate, managing total assets exceeding 50 trillion won and employing 1,105 individuals. The company has maintained an AAA Insurance Financial Strength Rating for ten consecutive years and serves markets through subsidiaries in China, Vietnam, and the United States. Current leadership includes CEOs Seung-Joo Yeo, Kwon Hyek Woong, and Lee Kyung Keun, while the parent Hanwha Group is chaired by Kim Seung-youn. Originally established as Korea Life Insurance, the company was founded on September 9, 1946, by Kim Chong-hee, later changing its name to Hanwha Life Insurance in October 2012.
