Great Lakes Innovation & Development Enterprise (GLIDE) is a regional innovation center, business hub, and incubator. It supports early-stage tech startups in Northeast Ohio with expert guidance, critical resources, and funding. GLIDE refines business processes, translating innovative concepts into commercial successes, and offers dedicated incubator facilities.

Established in 2001, GLIDE emerged from a strategic partnership among the Lorain County Commissioners, Chamber of Commerce, and Community College. This collaboration was driven by the insight that fostering local entrepreneurship was crucial for stimulating economic and job growth within Lorain County, enabling competition in the global tech sector.

GLIDE primarily serves entrepreneurs and tech startups across Northeast Ohio, assisting them through business launch and expansion. Its mission is to facilitate commercial success for these ventures, contributing to the regional economy and new employment. GLIDE envisions Northeast Ohio as a dynamic center for continuous innovation and high-growth enterprise development.
