Gray Ventures is a private venture capital firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, that invests in early-stage companies and entrepreneurs across the Southeastern United States, particularly in Atlanta and Research Triangle Park. The firm primarily targets pre-revenue and early-stage companies within Information Technology, healthcare, and B2B SaaS sectors, with its first two funds investing in 35 such companies. Gray Ventures III further supported 25 early-stage venture funds, while the firm was also a principal investor in the Flashpoint accelerator, which has aided 80 startups to date. Notable portfolio companies from its earlier funds include MediaOcean, Bluebolt Networks, Chutney Technologies, and Electrifier. The firm recently made a follow-on investment in GOCare through its Gray Ventures IV fund, launched in 2022, focusing on B2B SaaS. Gray Ventures was founded in 1991 by Bernard W. Gray.
