GrainCorp is an Australian agribusiness based in Sydney, New South Wales, specializing in the storage, handling, and processing of grains, pulses, and oilseeds, alongside the production of edible oils, biofuel components, animal feeds, and food industry oils and shortenings. The publicly listed company, with a market value of approximately $2 billion, operates over 160 storage sites and 7 deep-sea ports in Australia. It connects more than 10,000 Australian grain growers with over 350 domestic and international customers. Led by CEO Robert Spurway, Chairman Peter Richards, and CFO Ian Morrison, GrainCorp recently launched a $30 million venture capital fund dedicated to agtech and sustainability startups. The organization traces its origins to a New South Wales government entity established in 1916-1917, before being privatized by grain farmers in 1992.
