Develops multi-user VR software for virtual collaboration, enabling distributed teams to work in real-time virtual environments.
Based in Helsinki, Finland, Glue Collaboration develops multi-user virtual reality software that enables distributed enterprise teams to interact, communicate, and work together remotely within simulated three-dimensional environments. The enterprise software developer successfully scaled its corporate operations to a 30-person team and secured approximately €3.5 million, or $3.85 million, in venture equity funding during its most recent financing round in 2019. Following a period of financial distress that ultimately resulted in a corporate bankruptcy filing, the virtual reality platform's technology assets and operations were acquired by spatial computing firm Hyperspace in May 2024. Prior to the Hyperspace transaction, Chief Experience Officer Juha Ruistola helped design the platform's remote virtual workspaces as a direct technological evolution of the earlier digital media studio known as Fake Production. Glue Collaboration was originally founded in 2017 by chief executive Santtu Parikka.
