The firm manages more than $135 billion in assets under management as of September 2022 and employs approximately 1,300 professionals across its various corporate operations. The organization currently operates as a majority-owned subsidiary of the global investment firm KKR & Co. Inc., having previously originated within the corporate structure of the multinational investment bank Goldman Sachs. Before officially incorporating as an independent corporate entity in 2013, the financial enterprise was initially founded as the Goldman Sachs Reinsurance Group in 2004 by Allan Levine.
