Genee

Genee is a Mountain View, California-based technology company that developed an artificial intelligence-powered scheduling assistant designed to automate meeting coordination through natural language processing. The platform integrates directly with calendar applications and email providers, allowing users to initiate scheduling requests via communication networks like Twitter and Skype. The software interprets contextual time references to automatically generate meeting invitations across multiple enterprise calendar systems, including the Google calendar ecosystem. Prior to its corporate acquisition, the enterprise productivity startup raised $1.5 million in total venture funding from a syndicate of four investors to support its public beta offering. Microsoft acquired the company in August 2016 to integrate its automated scheduling capabilities into the Office 365 productivity suite, subsequently shutting down the standalone service. Genee was originally founded in early 2014 by co-founders Ben Cheung and Charles Lee.
