Future Climate Venture Studio

Future Climate Venture Studio is a Connecticut-based venture studio that identifies, funds, and collaborates with early-stage climate technology startups focused on decarbonization, alternative energy, and planetary resilience. Operating under an equity-based co-founder model, the organization provides selected companies with technical expertise, dedicated mentorship, and capital investments typically ranging from $250,000 to $500,000 per startup. The studio launched its inaugural program in February 2023 with an initial six startups and subsequently announced a second cohort of six additional companies in September 2023. The organization targets sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, and green finance, building a portfolio that features recognizable emerging enterprises such as electrification platform Eli and agricultural robotics company Gather. Future Climate Venture Studio was officially founded in 2023 as a strategic public-private partnership between the University of Connecticut, R/GA Ventures, and the Connecticut state agency CTNext.
