FundWA

FundWA operates as a dedicated venture capital fund, specifically supporting technology-enabled, innovative businesses within Western Australia. The fund targets early commercialization stages, making Seed to Series-A investments across diverse sectors including software, health and life sciences, defence, energy, education, and creative industries. Its core capability lies in providing essential capital and strategic support designed to help high-potential local ventures scale effectively.

The establishment of FundWA is a direct outcome of support from the Government of Western Australia, facilitated through the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification’s New Industries Fund – WAVES 2022-2025 pilot program. This initiative was founded on the insight that dedicated local venture capital was crucial to fostering and retaining innovative talent, recognizing the region's potential for world-class innovation.

The fund primarily serves Western Australian innovators and startups possessing ambitious, scalable ideas. FundWA’s mission is to empower these emerging businesses, backing the state's high-growth opportunities as they transition from early commercialization. It aims to cultivate a robust regional innovation ecosystem, enabling local ventures to achieve their global ambitions.
