Flashbots operates as a research and development organization dedicated to addressing the complexities of Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) within blockchain ecosystems. It develops infrastructure and tools aimed at mitigating the negative externalities associated with MEV extraction, such as network instability and unfair transaction ordering. The organization was founded in 2020 by a collective including Phil Daian, Alex Obadia, Stephane Gosselin, Scott Bigelow, and Tina Zhen.
