FirstTracks Ventures

FirstTracks Ventures is a Denver, Colorado-based direct investment fund that provides seed and growth-stage capital to companies across various industries alongside minority investments in professional sports leagues. Operating as an affiliate of the single-family asset management firm Borgen Investment Group, the organization actively supports its portfolio founders through deal structuring and capital network expansion. Through its primary venture vehicles, the firm has successfully invested in more than 35 companies since 2014. In 2024, the organization launched FirstTracks Sports Ventures to target athletic franchises, subsequently co-founding Denver Summit FC to secure the 16th franchise in the National Women's Soccer League. The sports division further expanded its portfolio in early 2025 by acquiring a minority ownership stake in Major League Soccer's Austin FC. FirstTracks Ventures was originally founded prior to 2014 by managing partner and investor Jon-Erik Borgen.
