Fireweed Ventures

Fireweed Ventures is a Canada-based organization that operates as a center of excellence and accelerator for Indigenous entrepreneurship and innovation. The entity supports economic sovereignty across Turtle Island through six core pillars, including a land-based center, research initiatives, storytelling, advising, and a community wealth fund. It provides specialized programming such as the Indigenous Venture Accelerator and Indigenous Impact Investor Training, focusing primarily on women, two-spirit, and Indigiqueer founders. The organization has historically partnered with or operated alongside Raven Indigenous Capital Partners to deploy capital and build impact-driven businesses. Recent initiatives include the upcoming 2026 venture accelerator cohort, which features Entrepreneur in Residence Josh and supports founders like Natalie Clyke in developing resilient infrastructure companies. Fireweed Ventures was founded in 2020 by Jacqueline Jennings and Candice Day, running its initial pilot cohort through the summer of 2021.
